Parkside Wrestling Ranked Seventh in Final NWCA Poll

MANHEIM, Pa.- The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) released its fifth and final rankings for the 2025-26 season on Friday, with the Rangers ranking seventh as a team. 

Parkside earned 46.0 points in the latest poll, finishing just behind Gannon, which qualified nine wrestlers for the NCAA Championships. The Rangers also trail Central Oklahoma, the defending national champions, along with Nebraska–Kearney, Grand Valley State, St. Cloud State, and McKendree, who round out the teams ranked ahead of Parkside. Parkside enters the NCAA National Championships with four wrestlers ranked individually.

Jalen Spuhler leads the Parkside Rangers at 149 pounds, currently holding the No. 2 ranking. He owns a 24-2 record this season with six wins over ranked opponents. Most recently, Spuhler earned a 6-1 decision over No. 4 Nolan Ambrose of Augustana, which secured his spot in the NCAA Championships. He has also recorded 16 bonus-point victories this season.

At 125 pounds, Shane Corrigan enters the poll at No.4. Corrigan holds a 17-4 record this season, including three wins over ranked opponents. He has also recorded 15 bonus-point victories, highlighted by a 15-7 major decision over Jacob Fitzpatrick that secured his berth to the NCAA Championships.

Easton Worachek is ranked No. 4 at 157 pounds for the fourth consecutive poll. He holds a 25-5 record this season, with three wins over ranked opponents and 11 bonus-point victories. Most recently, Worachek secured his spot in the NCAA Championships with an 8-2 decision over Griffin Lundeen.

Brody Hemauer climbed to the No. 8 spot in the rankings at 165 pounds. Hemauer holds a 17-7 record this season with three wins over ranked opponents. He has also recorded 10 bonus-point victories, most recently earning a fall at 4:47 over Lane Ewing at the Super Region V Championships to claim the 165-pound title and secure his spot in the NCAA Championships.

The 2026 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships will begin on Friday, March 13, and continue through Saturday, March 14.
