Ranger Men Finish Second At SLU Billiken Invite

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Parkside Rangers men's track and field turned in an impressive performance Saturday at the SLU Billiken Invite, finishing second out of 21 teams.

On the track, Ian Liburd led the way with a first-place finish in the 200 meters, clocking 21.47. Michael Hendrix followed with a fifth-place finish (22.02), while Mikhail Bolden (7th, 22.10) and Ramere Jackson (8th, 22.17) also scored.

In the 100 meters, Jackson led the Rangers with a fifth-place, personal-best finish (10.97), while Bolden added a 12th-place personal-best (11.06).

The distance crew delivered a dominant showing in the 1500 meters, led by Doug Martin, who won the event in 3:56.15. Cayton Cratch placed third in a personal-best 4:00.34, followed by Amadeo Cortes in fourth (PB, 4:02.96). Beckett Pawlak also finished 13th (4:06.38), while Connor Sheahan placed 18th (4:08.85).

Máté Pesti added a fourth-place finish in the 110-meter hurdles (15.24) and later placed seventh in the triple jump (13.29m).

In the 400 meters, Carter Peet led the group with a ninth-place, personal-best finish (50.24).

Thomas Stiltner recorded a fifth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 55.94.

In the field events, Carson Hull placed seventh in the javelin (48.20m), while Cooper Vail added a seventh-place finish in the discus (41.59m) and 12th in the javelin (45.77m). Lincoln Myer recorded a sixth-place finish in the long jump (6.53m), and Ariel Molina placed ninth (6.31m).

The Rangers were also strong in the relays, with the 4x100-meter "A" team of Bolden, Myer, Hendrix, and Liburd capturing first place in a season-best 41.57. The 4x400-meter relay team of Hendrix, Peet, Cortes, and Martin added a second-place finish in 3:19.89.

Parkside will return to action April 3 at the Rex Foster Twilight, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
