SIOUX FALLS, S.D.- Five Rangers advanced to day two of the 2026 NCAA National Tournament on Friday, highlighted by four wrestlers earning spots in the national semifinals. No. 4

Sullivan Ramos each won their quarterfinal bouts to move one step closer to a national title, while No. 8
Brody Hemauer remained alive in the consolation bracket to advance to Saturday's action.
No. 4
Shane Corrigan opened the tournament with a 16-0 technical fall over Jacob Houpt of Seton Hill at 2:58, advancing to the quarterfinals. In his quarterfinal bout, Corrigan earned a 10-3 decision over Logan Davis of West Liberty to advance to the national semifinals. He will face No. 1 Isaiah Gamez of Adams State on Saturday morning.

Jalen Spuhler began his tournament with a 13-2 decision victory over Ty Linsenbigler of Seton Hill to move on to the quarterfinals. In his quarterfinal bout, Spuhler won by fall at 6:16 over No. 7 Hayden Kuhn of Ashland, securing a spot in the national semifinals. He will face No. 3 Cody Thompson of the Colorado School of Mines on Saturday morning.
No. 4
Easton Worachek started his day with a 10-4 decision win over Jimmie Bailes of Glenville State, securing a spot in the quarterfinals. In his quarterfinal bout, Worachek earned a 4-1 decision over No. 5 Nico Taddy of West Liberty to advance to the national semifinals. He will face No. 3 Gabe Johnson of Central Oklahoma on Saturday morning.
Sullivan Ramos opened the tournament in the preliminary round, where he defeated No.10 Cole Casilio of Kutztown in a 4-1 sudden victory decision. In his next bout, Ramos trailed heading into the third period but recorded two takedowns in the final 30 seconds to secure a victory over No.8 Dylan Kohn of Lander and earn a spot in the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinal matchup, Ramos defeated No. 1 Cole Glazier in a 9-5 decision. Ramos scored three takedown points and added four near-fall points late in the third period to secure a spot in the national semifinals. He will face Damon Ashworth of Central Missouri on Saturday morning.
No. 8
Brody Hemauer opened his tournament with a 15-0 technical fall over Bo Perkins of Newberry to advance to the quarterfinals. Hemauer then fell in a close 5-3 decision to No. 1 Nolan Gessler of Tiffin. In the consolation bracket, Hemauer rebounded with a 4-2 decision over No. 12 Trent Hoover of Pitt-Johnstown to advance to the consolation quarterfinals. He will next face Ivan Smith Jr. of New Mexico Highlands.
Cooper Caraway dropped his first bout of the day, falling 8-2 to Tyler Doyle of Colorado Mesa. In the consolation prelims, Caraway advanced after receiving a forfeit from Isaac Sheeren of Lander. He followed with a 10-5 decision over BK Seago to move on to the second consolation round. Caraway ultimately fell in his final bout, dropping a 14-3 major decision to No. 5 Freddie Retter. He finishes the season with a 24-12 record.
Jordan Blanchard came up short in his opening bout against No. 6 Mason Willwok of Chadron State, falling in a 12-3 major decision. He then dropped his next match to Tyson Meyer of St. Cloud State in a close 5-2 decision. Blanchard ends his season with a 25-11 record, including 15 falls.
