Scouting Parkside
The Parkside Rangers enter the week with an 11-5 overall record after taking the series 3-1 over Upper Iowa University this past weekend. Offensively,
Benjamin Loyd continues to lead the Rangers at the plate, batting .357 through 56 at-bats. Loyd has recorded 20 hits, including two doubles and one home run, while driving in 10 RBIs.
Joe Mrowiec has also been a key contributor to the Parkside offense, hitting .333 with 13 hits, including two doubles, a triple and three home runs, accounting for 13 RBIs.
On the mound,
Brennen Miller has been dominant for the Rangers, picking up a win this past weekend over Upper Iowa. On the season, Miller holds a 2.16 ERA and has recorded 18 strikeouts.
Leo Berger also made a start this past weekend, earning a win. In his five innings of work, Berger struck out nine batters.
Scouting Roosevelt
Roosevelt enters the week with a 3-11 overall record. Ian Bagazonza has led the Lakers at the plate, batting .474 through 38 at-bats. He has totaled 18 hits, including two doubles, while driving in six RBIs. CJ Chalk has also been a key contributor offensively, hitting .347 in 49 at-bats with 17 hits, including a double and a home run, accounting for 12 RBIs.
On the mound, Anthony Sorrentino leads the Lakers with 11 strikeouts. Payton Kaiser owns the team's lowest ERA at 2.79 through 9.2 innings pitched while holding opponents to a .206 batting average.
Parkside leads the all-time series against the Lakers, holding a 5-0 record. The Rangers' most recent victory came in 2025 with a 10-5 win.
