Multiple Records Fall For Ranger Women

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS – The Parkside women's track and field team was in multiple locations on Saturday with a portion of the team in Kenosha at the Tadd Metzger Multi, and another group in Allendale at the GVSU Muke Lints Alumni Meet. Rachel Blaskowski hit NCAA Provo in the long jump, while Miranda Winkler and Anna Snorek set new school records in the 60 meter hurdles and the 400 meters.
 
AT THE TADD METZGER MULTI

Rachel Blaskowski led the Rangers with a winning performance in the long jump, posting a mark of 5.86 meters. The jump met NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standards and earned Blaskowski first place in the event.

On the track, freshman Dani Riemer captured the 200 meters title with a time of 26.81, finishing first overall. Riemer also added a third-place finish in the long jump with a best mark of 5.47 meters.

In the vertical jumps, Nailah Taylor placed second in the high jump with a clearance of 1.63 meters, while Delaney McMahon followed closely in third after clearing 1.53 meters. Kalista Butkiewicz added a runner-up finish in the pole vault, clearing 3.27 meters.
 
Parkside won the top spot in the triple jump, as Essence Burrows won the event with a mark of 11.37 meters. Analisia Melendez placed third at 10.33 meters, Jazai Lopez finished fifth with a jump of 10.10 meters, and Avah Banks added a seventh-place finish at 9.79 meters.
 
In the throws, Hannah Vlies led the Rangers in the shot put with a fifth-place finish and a best mark of 11.41 meters. Shelby Hanshaw (10.01 meters) finished tenth in the event. In the weight throw, Brooke Mader recorded a third-place finish with a mark of 14.98 meters, while Vlies placed sixth at 14.31 meters and Hanshaw finished eighth with a throw of 13.72 meters.

In the combined events, Lainey Fredrick placed second in the pentathlon, scoring 2,818 points.

AT THE GVSU MIKE LINTS ALUMNI MEET

Miranda Winkler led the way for the Rangers, breaking her own school record in the 60-meter hurdles. Winkler ran 9.23 in the preliminaries to advance before clocking 9.39 in the finals. She also added a win in the triple jump, posting a best mark of 10.82 meters.
 
Anna Snorek delivered another record-setting performance for Parkside, breaking the school record in the 400 meters with a runner-up finish in 57.81. Snorek also competed in the 200 meters A section, placing fifth with a time of 26.01.

In the 200 meters, Savannah Torrence led Parkside with a time of 27.64, finishing tenth. Jasmine Sieben finished sixth in the 400 meters, finishing in 59.11.

Parkside posted multiple performances in the 800 meters, led by Madison Perez with a seventh-place finish in 2:18.95.

In the relays, the Parkside 4x400 team of Jasmine Sieben, Addison Lacy, Chloe Miller, and Josie Kooima finished seventh with a time of 4:10.73.
