Ebert, Martin Earn All-American Honors On Day Two Of NCAA Championships

EMPORIA, KS – The 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships continued on Friday, with three Parkside track and field athletes in action. Johanna Ebert finished fifth in the 3000m steeplechase finals, while Doug Martin finished 13th and Cayton Cratch finished 20th in the 800 meters.
 
Day Two – Friday
Ebert earned All-American honors with a fifth-place finish in the 3000m steeplechase. She finished in a personal best school record time of 10:22.25. Ebert was in fifth place for nearly the whole race, with her best full lap being her final one, running it in 1:17.43.
 
Martin earned second-team All-American honors for the second time this year, finishing in 13th place in the 800 meters. Martin finished in 1:49.94, running his laps in 54.83 and 55.12.
 
Cratch finished in 20th place in his first trip to the NCAA Championships. He ran a 1:51.59 in the 800 meters, running laps of 54.34 and 57.25.
 
Michael Hendrix will close out the championships for the Rangers tomorrow afternoon when he races for a national title in the 400 meter hurdles at 5:40pm.

Day One – Thursday
Ebert qualified for the 3000m steeplechase finals after finishing third in her heat in a time of 10:38.84. Ebert found herself in fourth place after the first two laps, but then was able to move up to second on the third lap before settling into third. Eberts last lap was her best full lap, running it in 1:20.64.

Hendrix qualified for the 400 meter hurdles finals after finishing second in his heat in a time of 51.47. Running out of lane four, Hendrix finished second in his heat by just over a tenth of a second. His time of 51.47 was the fifth fastest of all of the heats.
