BAY CITY, Mich, -- Parkside softball senior and reigning back-to-back GLIAC Player of the Year Mia Johnson has been named the GLIAC Player of the Week

Johnson earns the award for her big offensive performance over the six opening games in Rosemont. Johnson hit a scorching .611 with an OPS of 1.807, going 11-18 with five runs scored and six extra base hits. Additionally, she drove in seven and was walked five times. She was also perfect over 13 chances at third base for the Rangers.

Johnson and the Rangers will return to action on Friday from the Oasis Sports Complex in Marion, Illinois. Parkside will open the five game weekend with a matchup with McKendree.
