Rangers Hit the Road for Five-Game Showdown at Truman State University

KENOSHA, Wis. – Parkside Baseball heads out on the road this weekend for a five-game series in Kirksville, Missouri, where the Rangers will face Truman State. The series opens with doubleheaders on Friday and Saturday, followed by a single game on Sunday.

Scouting Parkside
The Rangers enter the weekend 1-3 after competing against St. Leo University this past weekend. From the weekend, Nathan Hanel currently leads the team in batting average, hitting .429% in seven plate appearances, with four RBIs. Josh Wicker and Trace Kirchberg also had four RBIs each, hitting .231 and .200 respectively. Through 15 at bats, Dylan Sayles is hitting .267 with four hits, including a double and triple. On the mound, Peter Mulhern earned a save for the Rangers, while Chase Powrozek was credited with a win. Brennen Miller leads the team in strikeouts- three through 3.1 innings pitched. 
 
Scouting Truman State
Truman State University enters the weekend with a 3–1 overall record after opening the season against Northeastern State University. Nick Steurer has paced the Bulldogs offensively, hitting .385 across 13 plate appearances while also recording two saves. Colin Mueth has provided additional production at the plate, batting .313 in 16 at-bats. On the mound, Nick Phillips and Ian Junkin have been dominant early, each tallying eight strikeouts in five and four innings pitched, respectively.

Parkside last met Truman State in 2023, where they are 5-9 all-time against the Bulldogs.
