The Rangers are scheduled for a four-game series against the Lions and look to build early momentum after finishing the 2025 season with a 30–21 overall record. Parkside opens the 2026 season this weekend in Florida after finishing the 2025 campaign with a 30–21 record, marking the program's first 30-win season since 2005. The Rangers return key contributors on both sides of the ball, including senior
Dylan Sayles, who earned All-GLIAC Honorable Mention honors last season after batting .339. On the mound, junior
Leo Berger is back for Parkside. The former GLIAC Freshman Pitcher of the Year recorded a 1.61 ERA over 28 innings during his freshman season in 2024.
Scouting St. Leo University
St. Leo comes into the weekend with a 5–1 overall record after opening the season against Augusta and Colorado Christian. Senior Ryan Crivello leads the Lions offensively, batting .579 through six games. On the mound, junior Flynn Howard has been St. Leo's top arm, posting a 1.64 ERA and a 2–0 record. The Lions are led by head coach Josh Keim, who is in his second season at the helm.
Parkside last met St. Leo in 2018 and holds an 0–3 all-time record in the series.
