BAY CITY, Mich. – Three members of the Parkside women's soccer team earned All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honors for the 2026 season, the conference announced on Thursday.

Junior Ava Rizzitano received second-team honors at forward, while junior Kayden Schmidt earned second-team recognition at defender. Senior Kate Brown rounded out the Rangers' selections with honorable mention honors. All three players earned all-conference recognition for the first time in their careers.

Rizzitano has led the Parkside attack during a career-best junior campaign. The Kenosha native established career highs with eight goals and 18 points, leading the Rangers in both categories. Her eight goals are tied for third in the GLIAC, while her 18 points are tied for fourth. She also contributed two assists and two game-winning goals.

Rizzitano leads the GLIAC with 4.29 shots per match and ranks second in total shots (73) and shots on goal (34), pacing the Rangers in both categories. She has made a career-high 17 starts and played a career-best 1,107 minutes, the seventh-most on the team.

Schmidt earned second-team recognition after combining a steady presence on the back line with a career year offensively. She is one of six Rangers to start all 19 matches and leads the team with 1,650 minutes played out of a possible 1,710. Schmidt has helped anchor a defense that recorded six shutouts through the quarterfinal round.

The junior has scored a career-high five goals and added an assist for 11 points. Her three game-winning goals lead the Rangers and are tied for the GLIAC lead. Schmidt has also converted both of her penalty kick attempts this season.

Brown received honorable mention honors following a career-best offensive season. The Kenosha native has totaled 13 points and matched her career high with three goals. Her seven assists lead the Rangers and are tied for third in the GLIAC, surpassing her previous single-season best by five.

Brown has started all 19 matches and played a career-high 1,236 minutes. She also found the net in Tuesday's quarterfinal victory at Davenport, helping the Rangers advance to the semifinals.

Parkside (9-6-4) will face eighth-seeded Ferris State in the GLIAC Tournament semifinals on Friday, Nov. 6, at 3 p.m. CT in Allendale, Michigan.
