PUEBLO, Colo. – The Rangers kicked off the 2025 Outdoor National Championships on Thursday evening.
Johanna Ebert got the Rangers week started, competing in the 3000m steeplechase.
"I am so proud of Johanna's performance," said Director of XC/Track and Field,
Nick Maas. "What an amazing way to kick off the championships! She came into the meet as the 22nd place entrant and finished 14th. Anytime you can enter a championship and improve on your position it's a win. She had a great year and has a bright future!"
Johanna Ebert kicked things off for the Rangers as she was the first Ranger to compete in the week. Ebert ran in the first heat of the 3000m steeplechase and battled the altitude. The freshman made huge strides, finishing 7
th in her heat. She entered the Championships ranked 22
nd in the event. With her time of 11:06.27, Ebert now moves up to the 14
th best in the nation in Division II.
