MANHEIM, PA – The National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced the 2025 NCAA DII Men's Team Scholar All-America Awards on Monday. Parkside wrestling took the top spot with a team GPA of 3.568 for the 2025 season. Twelve Parkside student-athletes were also recognized as Scholar Student-Athletes.
"The team award is based on the GPA's of our ten representatives that competed in our Super Regional Tournament," said Head Coach
Nick Becker. "Much of the credit goes to those ten individuals, although our entire 40-man roster is filled with many individuals that are high academic achievers. Having 12 Academic All-American's is also something I am really proud of this team for. I want to give a special thank you to our Athletic Academic Advisor, Amanda Johnson for all her work and influence towards our team. She is willing to go above and beyond to help our student-athletes reach their full academic potential. We are grateful for the role she provides our team. Also thank you to our chancellor, administrators, advisors, and professors who have created an environment in which our team can succeed in the classroom and on the mat."
These exceptional student-athletes have excelled both on the mat and in the classroom, meeting one of the following criteria to earn NWCA Scholar All-American status:
- All-American at the 2025 NCAA DII National Championships and 3.00 GPA
- National Qualifier to the 2025 NCAA DII National Championships and 3.25 GPA
- Competed in 4 or more events and 3.5 GPA
