Blaskowski, Waldvogel Qualify for NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships

3/4/2025 2:25:00 PM

INDIANAPOLIS - The qualifiers for the 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships were announced on Tuesday, and Parkside's Rachel Blaskowski and Sean Waldvogel were announced as national qualifiers.

"What a great opportunity for Rachel and Sean to represent Parkside at the NCAA Championships", remarked Director of Cross Country and Track and Field Nick Maas. "They're both fierce competitors and earned their shot. Sean especially has been working so very hard and came up short a few times to qualify in past years, so for a fifth-year senior to get it done at the conference championships is pretty special. He's also our first men's qualifier since 2017 and hopefully sets the tone for what is possible in our program."

This will be Rachel Blaskowski's fifth trip to the NCAA Championships in her decorated career in the long jump. At the 2024 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships Blaskowski came home with All-American honors. She returns to the National Championships with a mark of 6.05, which is the fourth best in Division II so far this year.

Sean Waldvogel is making his first career trip to the NCAA Championships in the 800 meters. He put together his National Championship qualifying run at the GLIAC Championships on Saturday, running a school record setting 1:50.05. He will be seeded 14th heading into the championships. He is the first male Ranger to qualify for the NCAA Championships since 2017.

Rachel is set to compete on Friday, March 14th at 3:00pm (ET) in the long jump. Sean is set to compete in the preliminaries of the 800 meters at 2:55pm (ET). If he advances, Sean will then compete in the 800 meters final at 4:10pm (ET) on Saturday, March 15th. The 2025 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field Championships are being held at the Indiana Farm Bureu Fall Creek Pavillion in Indianapolis, Indiana.
