St. Louis, Mo. – The Parkside women's track & field team closed out their opening weekend of the outdoor season on Saturday afternoon at the SLU Billiken Invite.

The Rangers continued the big weekend with big performances, including new school records by Essence Burrows and Mckenna Armstrong. Burrows set the new record in the triple jump with a mark of 11.63m. Armstrong set the new school record in the javelin with a mark of 37.41m which is just under a meter better than then record she set last May.

Below are the athletes that finished in the top-15 at the SLU Billiken Invite:

Women's 200 Meters:

• 13th: Mayda Conrad - 26.11
• 14th: Shukeira Cooper - 26.21 (Personal Best)

Women's 1500 Meters:

• 11th: Josie Kooima - 5:01.72 (Personal Best)

Women's High Jump:

• 1st: Nailah Taylor - 1.63m, 5' 4.25"

Women's Long Jump:

• 7th: Lainey Fredrick - 5.05m, 16' 7"

Women's Triple Jump:

• 2nd: Essence Burrows - 11.63m, 38' 2" (School Record)

Women's Discus:

• 9th: Michelle Barnvos - 35.92m, 117' 10"
• 14th: Emily Maynard - 34.02m, 111' 7"
• 15th: Brooke Mader - 33.52m, 110' 0" (Personal Best)

Women's Hammer:

• 11th: Brooke Mader - 39.10m, 128' 3"
• 12th: Hannah Vlies - 38.98m, 127' 11"

Women's Javelin:

• 3rd: Mckenna Armstrong - 37.41m, 122' 9" (School Record)
• 11th: Shelby Hanshaw - 32.28m, 105' 11" (Personal Best)
