INDIANAPOLIS -- Parkside Wrestling concluded the 2024-25 season on Saturday afternoon, with Shane Corrigan and Dajun Johnson competing on day two of the 2025 NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships.
Corrigan finished his season with All-American honors and a fifth place finish in the 125lb weight class. Corrigan went 1-2 on Saturday. Corrigan came up short in the semifinals to open the day, losing by a 13-9 decision to sixth seeded Zachary Ourada of Nebraska Kearney. Corrigan then lost in the consolation semifinals to eighth seeded Trevon Gray of Pittsburgh Johnstown by a 16-7 major decision. Shane then closed his season on a high note, defeating fourth seeded Anthony Aniciete of Tiffin in the fifth place match.
Johnson finished his season with All-American honors and a third place finish in the 165lb weight class. Johnson went 2-1 on Saturday. He opened the day coming up just short in a dramatic 4-3 decision to second seeded Jack Haskin of Lake Erie. Johnson rebounded in the consolation semifinals, holding on in the third period to defeat Jace Fisher of Newman by a 6-4 decision. Dajun then earned third place, defeating fourth seeded Nick Novak by a 12-10 decision.
