INDIANAPOLIS — History was made on Saturday afternoon when Sean Waldvogel became the first male from the track and field to earn All-American honors since 2006.

"Sean put it on the line today and earned his first All/ American award," said Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Nick Maas. "I couldn't be more proud of his effort in the final and drive this whole season. Pretty exciting for us to take two to NCAA Nationals and walk away with two All-Americans. It shows everyone that it is possible and that this is only the beginning for our program nationally.

Waldvogel finished in eighth place in the 800 meters on Saturday, finishing in a time of 1:51.32. The All-American honor is the first for Sean, and is the first for the Parkside men's program since 2006.

Parkside will now prepare for the outdoor season which will begin on March 28th. You can keep up with the program at ParksideRangers.com.
