Parkside would work to grow their lead, stretching it to an 11 point lead on a Cameron Mallory three with 12:20 remaining in the half.

Roosevelt would then counter the Rangers move, going on an 11-5 run to cut the Ranger lead to just six 26-20. Parkside would respond with a quick 7-2 run to add back to their lead with 4:31 to go in the half. The Rangers would then go cold, and the Lakers would mount an 11-0 run to tie the score 33-33 with 20 seconds left in the opening half. An Ethan Ivan three pointer would beat the buzzer and give the Rangers the three point lead heading into the lockerroom 36-33.

Roosevelt would push and take their first lead of the game to open the second half scoring the first four points of the quarter. The two sides would trade through the midpart of the second half. Parkside would get the push they needed as a Rokas Castillo three pointer would kickstart a 7-0 run for the Rangers to give themselves breathing room with eight minutes to go 52-47. The Lakers would keep things interesting, cutting the Ranger lead to as little as two points at the 7:36 mark.
