MANHEIM, Pa. — The University of Wisconsin-Parkside wrestling program is ranked No. 4 in the nation, according to the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) Division II Coaches' Poll  #1 released Thursday. The Rangers trail only Nebraska-Kearney, Lander, and Tiffin in the national rankings as they enter another year with championship aspirations.

Parkside once again stands as the highest-ranked team from the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), leading a conference that continues to prove itself as one of the strongest in Division II wrestling. The NSIC features four additional teams in the preseason national rankings, and the league boasts an impressive 27 nationally ranked wrestlers—the most of any conference in the country.

The Rangers contributed significantly to that total, placing six individuals in the first NWCA Division II coaches' rankings of the season.

At 125 pounds, Shane Corrigan is ranked second nationally in the current coaches poll. The three-time All-American is off to a dominant 2-0 start, opening his year with a 16-0 technical fall victory over Jason Strope of McKendree. He followed that performance with another commanding tech fall, defeating Brady Phelps of UW-Whitewater 16-1.

At 149 pounds, Jalen Spuhler is ranked No. 3 nationally. He has started the season with two strong victories, the first coming by fall over Caleb Lavine of McKendree. Spuhler then earned a statement win against fifth-ranked Dominik Mallinder of UW-Whitewater, rolling to a 16-1 technical fall.

Ranked No. 4 nationally at 165 pounds, Brody Hemauer is currently 1-1 on the season. He earned his first win with an 11-2 major decision over Sam Richardson of McKendree before dropping a close 3-1 decision to third-ranked Brayden Peet of UW-Whitewater.

At 174 pounds, Dajun Johnson is ranked No. 11 nationally and has begun his 2025-26 campaign with an impressive 6-1 record. He started his year by defeating No. 14 Zeke Waltz of McKendree in an 11-6 decision, followed by a 4-3 win over No. 12 Jermaine Butler of UW-Whitewater. Johnson went on to place second at the Findlay Open, where he ultimately fell to No. 12 Sevriano Garza in an 8-1 decision.

At 184 pounds, Brady Schuh is ranked No. 7 nationally and currently has a  5-2 record. He started the year with a dominant 23-6 technical fall over Coy Bender of McKendree. Schuh also earned a third-place finish at the Findlay Open, dropping a 7-2 match to No. 10 Darion Johnson before rebounding to secure third place with a pin over Kyler Pickard of Belmont Abbey.

At 197 pounds, Jordan Blanchard is ranked No. 13 nationally, with a dominant 10-0 record. He kicked off his year by winning the Pointer Open and followed it with a strong dual performance, earning a first-period fall over Tyler Hadon of UW-Whitewater in just 2 minutes and 53 seconds. Blanchard then added another title at the Findlay Open, where he won by fall over all five of his opponents to claim the championship.

The Rangers will return to action December 5th, when they open NSIC conference play against SMSU in De Simone Arena.
