KENOSHA, Wis. – The Rangers continue their early-season seven-game homestand with two more non conference matchups at DeSimone Arena. Parkside will first welcome Bethel University (MN) on November 18 at 5:30 p.m. CT for the first-ever meeting between the programs, followed by a familiar opponent in Winona State on November 22 at 3:00 p.m. CT.
RECAPPING THE CONFERENCE CROSSOVER:
Parkside opened the 2025-26 season with a split weekend at the Conference Crossover, falling to Upper Iowa 78-69 before bouncing back with a 95-77 win over Illinois Springfield.
Against Upper Iowa, the Rangers struggled to generate second-half offense despite strong performances from Luka Mateski (20 points, 5 rebounds) and Paxton Warden (19 points, 6 rebounds). Parkside responded with an explosive outing the next day, shooting 60% from the field and 61.5% from three in a dominant win over Illinois Springfield. Mateski led the way again with 26 points and 5 rebounds, highlighting the team's offensive potential moving forward.

SCOUTING BETHEL:
Parkside welcomes a first-time opponent to Kenosha when they face Bethel University, marking the inaugural meeting between the programs. Bethel enters 1-1 with an 89-65 win over North Central University (MN) and a 53-87 loss to Augustana College (IL).
Adding intrigue to the matchup is Bethel head coach Gabe Miller, who spent two seasons on the Parkside staff as an assistant coach, serving as the team's recruiting coordinator and defensive architect.
Bethel is led by guard Nick Burke, who is averaging 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game. Burke's scoring ability will be central to Bethel's game plan.

SCOUTING WINONA STATE:
Later in the week, Parkside takes on Winona State, which sits at 1-1 after a 60-59 win over Southern Arkansas University and an 88-57 loss to Washburn University. The Warriors will also face Concordia-St. Paul on Wednesday, November 19, before traveling to Kenosha to face the Rangers. The Warriors are currently led by guard Gavyn Hurley, averaging 16.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and one assist per game.
The all-time series remains close, with Parkside trailing 3-4 but maintaining a 2-1 edge at home. Winona, however, has claimed the last three matchups, including a 59-49 win in their last matchup in 2023. The Rangers will look to reverse the trend by leaning on improved scoring consistency and home-court energy.
LOOKING AHEAD:
Parkside continues its seven-game homestand with two more opportunities to build early-season momentum. With emerging leaders in Mateski and Warden, increased offensive cohesion, and the advantage of DeSimone Arena behind them, the Rangers aim to turn November into a springboard for success, heading into GLIAC play.
Their extended home stretch continues the following week when Parkside hosts Edgewood College on November 29th at 3:00 p.m. CT, giving the Rangers another chance to solidify their identity before heading into December competition.
