KENOSHA, Wis. -- Parkside Athletics is proud to honor the Ranger Hall of Fame Class of 2025, which includes seven individuals and one team. The Class of 2025 will officially be inducted during a ceremony inside DeSimone Arena on Saturday, October 4. Leading up to the event, we are highlighting each of this year's inductees, and today we recognize former softball standout Meloney (Strohbusch) Thorman.
Thorman made her mark on Parkside softball between 2001 and 2006, becoming one of the most dangerous hitters in program history. A two-time All-Region First Team selection and a 2004 Second Team All-American, she was a centerpiece of the Rangers' lineup throughout her career.
Her power at the plate was unmatched, as she finished with 34 career home runs, a mark that still ranks third in program history. She also drove in 124 runs over her career and produced one of the best offensive seasons ever by a Ranger in 2005, posting a .699 slugging percentage that remains among the highest in school history.
Thorman played a key role in helping Parkside reach the 2003 GLVC Tournament championship game, where the Rangers finished as conference runner-up. Her combination of consistent production, clutch hitting, and leadership solidified her place as one of the program's all-time greats.
Meloney (Strohbusch) Thorman's impact on Parkside softball earns her a well-deserved place in the Hall of Fame Class of 2025.
The Hall of Fame Class of 2025 will be inducted on Saturday, October 4, in DeSimone Arena, and we look forward to celebrating the lasting impact of these Rangers on our athletic history.
