KENOSHA, Wis. – Fresh off a Top 10 victory on Thursday evening, the Parkside men's basketball team returned to De Simone Arena on Saturday once again hosting a Top 10 team in No. 6 Lake Superior State. Once again, the Rangers played spoiler and topped the Lakers in a thriller, 66-63.

- The Rangers once again had a strong offensive team showing with four Rangers reaching double digits in the scoring column. Ethan Ivan led the way with 18 points on 7-10 shooting.
- Parkside would shoot 47.9% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc in the victory.
How it Happened
Both teams came out of the gates strong, trading buckets throughout the first eight minutes of the game. The Rangers utilize a
Nick Brown jumper at the 11:56 mark in the first half to start 11-0 run. The run would distance the Rangers 22-13. Parkside would use that momentum to add to their lead, stretching it to as much as 13 in the first half. Lake Superior State would chip away at the Rangers lead cutting it eight points heading into the halftime break, 34-26.
The second half of action got off to the same start as the first half as both sides would trade baskets to open the final 20 minutes. And much like the first half the Rangers used another run, scoring 10 unanswered points to build their lead back out to 13 points at 56-43 with 7:14 remaining. This time the Lakers would respond with a 10-0 run of their own to cut the Ranger lead to just three points with 4:31 remaining.
The Lakers would remain on the heels of the Rangers in the final minutes, taking the lead for the first time since the first half with 46 seconds left 60-59. The Rangers would miss a layup to take the lead and the Lakers would grab the vital defensive rebound and call a timeout. Lake Superior State would be forced to take the ball out underneath the Rangers basket. Parkside would immediately trap the inbounded ball and force the Lakers into a turnover. In that same possession
Jack Rose would hit an off-balance jumper and draw the foul for the three point play. Rose would hit the free throw to give the Rangers the 60-62 lead.
Lake Superior State would be forced to foul, but the Rangers would hit all four of their free attempts in the final seconds to ice the victory. Parkside would notch their second top 10 win in 48 hours 66-63.
