KENOSHA, Wis. --- The Parkside Men's Cross Country team opened up the 2024 season on Friday evening, competing in the Vic Godfrey Open. The Rangers won the team title on Friday in the 6k event.
Â
"A great start in a low-key meet at home," remarked Director of Cross Country and Track and Field
Nick Maas. "We planned to get out and just test ourselves and push over the second half. We executed very well today. Abbi Steiner looked very good considering it was her first cross country race ever. Honestly our women's team has a whole new level of confidence and really feels they belong in the conversation. Our men started off a little conservative and then stormed home the last mile. Jon Nowacki is looking very solid in his senior year right now. We'll have a big test in 2 weeks in Minnesota. That's when we'll see what kind of team we really have. Good day to be a Ranger!"
