Rangers Fall to No. 1 Grand Valley State

ALLENDALE, Mich. -- The Parkside women's soccer team returned to action on Sunday afternoon for a GLIAC match up against No. 1 Grand Valley State. The Rangers would fall at the hand of the top ranked Lakers 3-0.

  • The Lakers defense limited to Rangers to just six shots on the afternoon. The Rangers were unable to place any shots on goal. 
  • Lola Minic posted a new career high in saves in goal with 10.

How it Happened
Grand Valley State opened the scoring late in the first half. They would take advantage of chaos in the box and put the ball in the back of the net in the 44th minute. The Rangers would trail at the half 1-0.

The Lakers continued to pressure the Rangers in the second half. The Grand Valley State offense was clicking on all cylinders, firing off 39 shots on the day. They would notch two more goals in the 55th and 80th minute to secure the 3-0 victory.
