KENOSHA, Wis. – The Parkside women's soccer team returned to action on Friday afternoon at Wood Road Field. The Rangers took on the Roosevelt Lakers for the first time in NCAA competition. Both sides fought hard to a 0-0 draw.
Inside the Box Score
- The Rangers on the afternoon put up 22 shots. Their most in the category since the season opener against Minnesota State Moorhead where the Rangers posted 27 total shots.
- Lola Minic and the Parkside defense secured their fourth clean sheet of the year in the effort.
- Alair Posard and Emily Mikkelson led the Rangers offensive effort, each firing off four shots and landing one on goal.
How it Happened
The first half was all Rangers as they would look to generate a goal. Parkside would lace 11 shots in the opening 45 minutes of play compared to Roosevelts four shots. Neither side would break through as the score would sit 0-0 at the half.
The Lakers offense found their footing in the second half of action. They would challenge the Parkside defense by generating 10 shots in the half.
Lola Minic would rack up three of her four saves in the second half. Once again, neither team was able to break through as the match would end in a scoreless draw.
