Waldvogel hits NCAA Provo as Rangers Close Out Busy Weekend

MULTIPLE LOCATIONS --  The Parkside men's track and field team continued their busy spring on Friday, with the team competing at multiple locations including in Milwaukee at the Marquette Invite and out in the west coast at the Leopard Distance Carnival. At the Bryan Clay Invitational Sean Waldvogel hit NCAA Division II provisional standards in the 800 meters.

BRYAN CLAY INVITATIONAL
Sean Waldvogel was impressive, hitting the NCAA Division II provisional standard in the 800 with a time of 1:50.75. He also finished sixth in the event only behind one Division II athlete.

Austin Depuydt ran a personal best time of 1:52.72 in the same event. 

The 4x400 relay team of Michael Cabaltera, Tommy Martin, Sean Waldvogel and Austin Depuydt finished 14th in a time of 3:18.85.

LEOPARD DISTANCE CARNIVAL
Grady Davis finished 39th in the 5000 meters in a time of 14:53.12. Johnathon Nowacki finished 72nd in 15:16.21.
 
Walker Miller finished 28th in the 3000 Steeplechase in 9:25.40.
 
MARQUETTE INVITE
Josh McLinn finished fourth in the 100 meter in a time of 11.07. He also ran a personal best in the 200, finishing ninth in a time of 22.73. Brody Nyffenegger finished eighth in the 100 in a time of 11.23.
 
Parkside had three top ten finishes in the 400 meters. Dalton Metzdorf finished fourth in 52.70. Jared Furman finished sixth in 53.57 and Aubrey Powers finished ninth in 54.11.
 
Parkside had three more top ten finishes in the 800-meters. Ellery Pleier finished fourth in 2:00.21. Erik Johnson finished seventh in 2:01.03 and Jack Allen finished tenth in 2:01.60. Pleier also finished third in the 5000 meters in 15:34.65. Jose Monroy finished eighth in the same event in 16:06.11.
 
Simon Dominic finished fourth in the 110 hurdles in 15.89. Carter Peet finished tenth in the same event in a personal best time of 17.79. Peet also finished third in the 400 hurdles in 1:03.21.
 
Conner Sheahan finished fifth in the 3000 steeplechase in a personal best time of 10:29.47.
 
The 4x100 relay team of Khalil McLain, Brody Nyffenegger, Zachary Neumann, and Thomas Doherty finished second in 42.18.
 
Thomas Doherty won the high jump with a mark of 1.97m. Simon Dominic finished third in the same event with a mark of 1.97m.
 
Michael Hendrix finished second in the pole vault with a mark of 4.45m.
 
Aaron Mueller finished sixth in the long jump with a mark of 5.99m. Jared Furman also had a strong showing, recording a mark of 5.29m, finishing ninth.
 
Jack Lehocky finished sixth in the triple jump with a mark of 11.59m.
 
Josh McLinn and Kaelan McDonough finished second and third in the Javelin. McLinn finished second with a personal best throw of 35.08m. McDonough finished third with a mark of 34.59m.
 
The Rangers will return to action on April 20th at the Wisconsin Lutheran Green & White Invite in Milwaukee. Links to live results can be found at ParksideRangers.com/coverage.
