CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. – The Parkside men's track and field team concluded the 2024 Joey Haines Invite on Saturday afternoon. The Rangers recorded top finishes in multiple events, finishing in fourth place as a team behind two Division I schools.
Thomas Doherty met NCAA Provisional Qualifying standards in the high jump, recording a personal best mark of 2.05m. He also won the event for the Rangers.
Simon Dominic finished third in the same event, recording a mark of 1.95m.
Michael Hendrix won the 400 hurdles, finishing in a personal best time of 54.12
Austin Depuydt finished in second in the 1500 meters, finishing in a time of 3:58.84. He only finished behind a Division I runner from the host SEMO.
Thomas Diamond also had a top ten finish, finishing tenth in a time of 4:11.19.
Michael Cabaltera finished in tenth in the 400 meters, running in a time of 50.68.
Jack Allen finished eighth in the 800 meters, finishing in a time of 1:59.62.
Simon Dominic finished sixth in the 110-meter hurdles, finishing in a time of 15.18.
The Ranger 4x100 meter relay team of Khalil McClain,
Brody Nyffenegger Zachary Neumann and
Thomas Doherty finished third in a time of 42.01. The Parkside 4x400 meter relay team of
Michael Cabaltera,
Dalton Metzdorf,
Jack Allen and
Aubrey Powers finished fourth in a time of 3:28.37.
Michael Hendrix finished seventh in the pole vault, recording a mark of 4.45m.
Kaelan McDonough recorded a ninth-place finish in the javelin, recording a throw of 41.20m.
The Rangers will return to action on April 5
