UNIVERSITY CITY, Mich. – The Parkside men's track and field team closed out the 2024 GLIAC Indoor Championships on Sunday afternoon. The Rangers put together strong performances in many different events, finishing fourth as a team.

The men's distance medley relay team of
Erik Johnson,
Michael Cabaltera,
Thomas Diamond and
Austin Depuydt earned six points, finishing third in a time of 10:17.85.
Thomas Doherty qualified for the 60 meter finals, finishing in a personal best time of 6.97. Doherty also earned points for Parkside in the long jump, finishing third with another personal best mark of 6.98m which came in his final attempt.
Grady Davis and
Johnathon Nowacki both scored points for the Rangers in the 5000 meters. Davis finished fourth in a time of 14:32.16. Davis beat his own personal best mark by over eight seconds. Nowacki finished eighth in a time of 14:43.97 which was a personal best by nearly 25 seconds.
Simon Dominic qualified for the finals in the men's 60m hurdles he was the fourth fastest in the event overall, running a time of 8.52.
Tommy Martin was the third fastest in the 400 meter prelims, qualifying for the finals with a time of 49.54.
Jared Furman currently sits fourth in the heptathlon heading into Sunday.
Daksh Arora picked up a point for the Rangers in the pole vault, finishing eighth. He recorded a mark of 4.48m.

Doherty earned a point for the Rangers in the 60 meter finals finishing eighth in a time of 7.17.
Martin had a strong showing in the 400 meters, finishing fifth overall in a time of 49.42.
Sean Waldvogel earned a podium appearance in the 800 meters, finishing third in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:50.98. Depuydt also earned points, finishing fifth in a personal best time of 1:52.96.
Depuydt also earned points for the Rangers in the mile, finishing fifth in a personal best time of 4:15.23.
Wil Kiley also put together a strong performance in the mile, finishing seventh in a personal best time of 4:19.01.
Davis and Nowacki followed up their performances in the 5000 meters Saturday with another strong showing in the 3000 meters on Sunday. Davis finished fourth in a personal best time of 8:24.53. Nowacki finished eighth in 8:35.83.
Dominic finished fourth in the 60 hurdles finals, finishing in a time of 8.57.
The Parkside 4x400 relay team made the podium. Martin, Cabaltera, Depuydt and Waldvogel finished second in a time of 3:17.93.
Doherty also earned points in the high jump. He finished fourth with a personal best and NCAA provisional qualifying mark of 2.03m. Dominic finished sixth with a personal best mark of 1.98 and Molina finished seventh with a personal best mark of 1.98 as well.
Ariel Molina earned points in the triple jump, finishing fifth with a mark of 12.24m.
Jack Lehocky also earned points, finishing sixth with a personal best mark of 12.17m.
Furman finished fifth in the heptathlon, scoring 3716 points.
