KENOSHA, WI – Parkside men's track and field began the 2024-25 season on Saturday, competing in the season opening meet at Carthage College. Parkside had multiple standout performances, finishing second as a team.
"We had a very good day overall," said Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Nick Maas. "We several provisional qualifying standards set, several school records set, and several near misses on school records. It was a very very good day for the Rangers and I am very excited for our next one."
EJ Johnson had a big day in the high jump for Parkside. Johnson recorded a mark of 2.10m, which was a personal best, along with being an NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark. His jump is currently the 3
rd best in Division II this year.
Michael Hendrix also had a record setting day. He set a new school record in the 55m. hurdles, finishing in 7.63 seconds.
