MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Parkside men's basketball team returned to action on Saturday afternoon in GLIAC action. The Rangers took on the Northern Michigan Wildcats and would fall 73-62.

How it Happened
The game would get off to a slow start as both teams would combine for a total of four points through the first four minutes. The Rangers offense would then hit a flurry of shots including a
Nick Brown three pointer at the 13:58 mark to give them a 10-4 lead. The Rangers were in control for the entire first half, building their lead to as much as nine points. The Wildcats would hit a buzzer beating shot to cut into the Ranger lead 33-30 heading into the halftime break.
The Wildcats would storm back in the second half. The Rangers would open the half with a
Josiah Palmer jumper and a pair of
Jack Rose free throws. The Wildcats would then answer, scoring 13 unanswered points to regain the lead for the first time since the start of the game, 43-37 with 13:38 to go. The Rangers would then go to work to chip away at the Wildcats lead, cutting it to just two points on a Palmer three with 3:34 remaining. With a 58-56 lead, Northern Michigan would protect their lead, building it up to 11 points by the end of the game to seal their second GLIAC victory of the season.
