KENOSHA, Wis. - The Parkside men's basketball program is set to return to action after an 11 day stretch of no competition. The Rangers will host Benedictine University on Wednesday evening in De Simone Arena. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m. CST. Parkside will then round out the week with a non-conference battle with Lewis University on Saturday. The Flyers and Rangers will are set to tip at 3 p.m. in De Simone Arena.

- The Rangers enter the week on a two game skid and currently sit at 2-6 overall and 0-2 in GLIAC play.
- Josiah Palmer is coming off a massive performance his last time out. The redshirt senior is coming off a 20 point performance in the Rangers loss to Northern Michigan back on Decemeber 7th. Palmer shot 7-16 from the floor, including a hot 4-8 from beyond the arc.

Scouting Benedicitine
Benedictine University enters Wednesday's game with a 3-6 overall record and a 2-2 record in the NACC. As a team they are shooting at a 44.9% clip while averaging 77.6 ppg. A Division III institution, the Eagles are led by senior Tanner Resch. The Sussex, Wis. native leads the team in ppg at 18.3. He has scored in double figures in every game he has played in and has reached the 20 point mark four times this season. Teammate Patrick Mayfield has been the Eagles glass cleaner, pulling down a team high 5.8 rpg. He and Resch both led the team in steals so far this season with 16.
This will mark the second match up between the two sides, with the first happening last season where the Rangers handled business topping the Eagles 86-55.
Scouting Lewis
The Flyers enter the week with a 5-3 overall record and a 2-1 record in GLVC play. The Flyers have not seen action since December 7th where they topped UMSL 81-61 in GLVC action. They face a similar week to the Rangers as they will take on NAIA University of St. Francis on Wednesday before making the trip up to Kenosha on Saturday.
Lewis is led by the one two punch of Paxton Warden and Rob Stroud. Warden, a junior, has logged the most minutes of any Flyer while leading the team in ppg with 14.4. He's shooting over 50% from the field at 53.4% while also dishing out a team high 29 assists thus far. Stroud averages 14 ppg for Lewis. The forward is most dangerous on the boards, pulling down a team leading seven per game.
The Rangers are 21-37 all time against the Flyers. In the most recent meeting the Flyers topped the Rangers in a close 74-72 scoreline.
