KENOSHA, Wis. – The Parkside men's basketball program is now preparing for another early season road trip. The Rangers are set to travel to Minnesota as they have a weekend slate of playing Minnesota Crookston and No. 13 Minnesota Duluth. The Rangers will open the weekend on Saturday as they will play a Minnesota Crookston with a 11 a.m. CST tip. Parkside will then round out the weekend at Minnesota Duluth on Sunday with a 1 p.m. CST.

Scouting Minnesota Crookston
The Golden Eagles enter the weekend with a 1-1 record. They opened the season with a loss to Oklahoma Baptist 82-71 but bounced back the next day to beat East Central University 65-59. Crookston is coming off a 6-22 season in 2023-24.
Crookston's offense is led by the duo of Chandler Meeks and Micah Garrett. Meeks is the Golden Eagles leading scorer at 15.5 ppg. Garrett is close behind at 14.0 ppg. Senior guard Grant Reid also plays a huge role for Minnesota Crookston as he currently averages 36.5 mpg to lead the team while also chipping in 13.0 ppg. The Rangers will have to limit Aguek Deng who is averaging double digit rebounds at 12.0 rpg. He currently has 24 rebounds this season, nine more than the next closet teammate.
Scouting Minnesota Duluth
The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a perfect 2-0 record, while also being ranked No. 13 in the most recent NABC poll. They opened their season topping Southeastern Oklahoma State in dominate fashion, 115-81. They closed out the weekend beating Oklahoma Baptist 71-52. Duluth is coming off a 26-7 overall 2023-24 season.
Charlie Katona and Austin Andrews are the Bulldogs' dynamic duo with Katona leading the Bulldogs in scoring at 16.5 ppg and Andrews close behind at 16 ppg. Katona is an all-around player, not only leading the Bulldogs in scoring but also in rebounds at 7.5 rpg. Of his 15 total rebounds, he has pulled down 11 defensive boards and four offensive.
