SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Parkside men's basketball team returned to action on Sunday afternoon in their final contest of the annual Conference Crossover. The Rangers took on the UIS Prairie Stars, yet another opponent receiving votes in the preseason NABC Poll. The Rangers would struggle to shoot from beyond the three-point line and drop the contest 60-43.

- Cameron Mallory would have a soild showing despite the Rangers loss. The senior transfer would pour in a new Parkside career high 11 points to lead the team.

Both sides would struggle to get their offenses going as sloppy play led to both teams combining for 14 first half turnovers. The Rangers only lead came early in the first half at the 17:24 mark as a

Nick Brown jumpers would keep the Rangers within striking distance before another Prairie Stars run to give them a seven-point cushion heading into the halftime break. UIS would lead 28-21.
The Rangers three point shooting woes would show in the second half as they would go 0-6 from deep. Parkside would have a massive scoring drought midway through the second half where UIS would grow their lead to 12 points. The Rangers defense had no answer for the Prairie Stars inside game as 18 of their 32 second half points came from the paint. UIS would go on to win 60-43.
