Winona, MN - In Parkside's final contest of the 2023 portion of the season, they will play on New Year's Eve against Winona State University. This game will also mark the finale of non-conference games in the 2023-24 campaign. Parkside and Winona State University are slated to tip-off at 2:00 pm in Minnesota.
Scouting Parkside
Parkside began the season with a monumental win against #5 ranked Indianapolis. The team accumulated significant wins against Illinois-Springfield and Maryville University, including Head Coach Luke Reigels' 300th win. In their first conference battle against Lake Superior State, Josiah Palmer emerged as Parkside's game changer, averaging 14.1 points and dishing out over five assists per game. However, Colin O'Rourke has been Parkside's best offensive piece in the recent two contests, scoring 21 points and knocking down at least three triples in each game. He is currently shooting 40% from three-point range and has lived up to his 2nd team All-GLIAC Preseason status.

Scouting Winona State
After a brilliant 7-1 start, Winona State University has dropped three consecutive games dating back to the 14th of December. The team's most valuable asset has been junior guard Connor Dillon, coming off a 2nd team All-NSIC campaign. Dillon has improved his points per game by over five points, scoring 23 points a night this season. He has three games where he has scored at least 33 points, including a 40-point effort against Wayne St. (NE). Parkside and Winona have played two of the same teams, the University of Missouri-St. Louis and Minnesota Duluth. Both teams lost to Duluth, but Winona defeated Missouri-St. Louis, while Parkside did not.
History
Parkside is 3-3 against Winona State University all-time. Since 2006, the programs took a 16-year break before finally battling again last season. Parkside was defeated 75-74 on the road in overtime. Parkside has lost two straight and has not recorded a win against them since 2005.
