KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Parkside men's track and field team opened the 2023-24 indoor season on Saturday afternoon, competing at the Forever Red Alumni Classic, hosted at Carthage College. The Rangers had a strong showing in the opening meet of the season, finishing second as a team.
The Parkside 4x400m relay team won their race on Saturday, running in a time of 3:30.04. The team was made up of Michael Cabaltera, Konner Akey, Thomas Diamond, and Tommy Martin.
Brody Nyffengger and Khlil McClain had strong showings in the 55-meter finals, finishing second and third respectively. Zach Neuman finished second in the 200 meter, running it in a time of 23.45.
Daksh Arora and Michael Hendrix finished one and two respectively in the pole vault with a mark of 4.15m. Thomas Doherty finished second in the long jump, finishing with a mark of 6.76m.
Jack Lehocky finished third in the triple jump with a mark of 11.21m. Kaelan McDonough finished third in his Parkside debut, recording a throw of 13.10m in the shot put.
The Rangers will return to action on January 13
