KENOSHA, Wis. -- The Parkside women's basketball team is set to travel west to Minnesota for two non conference games. The Rangers will take on Minnesota State-Mankato on Saturday, November 25th at 2 p.m. CST. They will then round out the road trip against Northern State in Marshall, Minnesot, a neutral site. Tipoff against the Wolves is set for Monday, November 27th at 4 p.m. CST.

- The Rangers are coming off a loss against St. Cloud State in the HARIBO Invitational. Parkside dropped the game 71-64 in De Simone Arena and will look to bounce back this weekend.
- Parkside was led by freshman Lillie Petersen in the St. Cloud State game. Petersen poured in a team high 11 points while going 5-7 from the field. She is averaging 6.3 ppg along with pulling down a team leading 7 rpg.

Scouting Minnesota State-Mankato
The Mavericks entered the 2023-24 season ranked No. 2 in the nation. Now since going 2-4, the Mavericks have now dropped out of the national rankings. Picked to finish first the NSIC, UMSM two win came against Florida Tech 83-44 and Texas A&M-Kingsville 76-65. They are currently on a three game losing streak after dropping the game against No. 25 Minnesota Duluth 75-64. The Mavericks are led by sophomore guard Natalie Bremer and reigning NSIC Incomer of the Year Destinee Bursch. Bremer has started in all six games this season and is second on the team in points average with 13.8 ppg. Bursch is coming off her freshman year where she averaged 15 ppg while shooting 49% from the floor. The junior guard is currently averaging 13.7 ppg while dishing out 2.5 apg.
Series History
This will be the fourth match up between the Rangers and Mavericks. Parkside is currently winless against Minnesota State-Mankato. The last match up, played last year, ended in No. 11 Minnesota State-Mankato topping the Rangers in a 80-71 final. Parkside will look to earn their first win on Saturday,
Scouting Northern State
The NSIC picked the Wolves to finish tied tenth in the 15 team conference. Northern State enters the weekend with a 4-1 record. The Wolves dropped their season opener to No. 10 Central Missouri 71-55 and have won every game since. Currently on a four game win streak the Wolves are led by Rianna Fillipo. In her junior year the guard averaged 34 minutes a game and 11.4 ppg. In her senior year she's currently averaging 11.4 ppg but shooting 28.8% from the field. Sophomore forward Madelyn Bragg is currently leading the Wolves in scoring this season. Bragg touts a stat line of 19.4 ppg and 7.8 rpg while also protecting the rim with 1.8 blocks per game.

The Rangers and Wolves have yet to face each other in each other's program histories. Monday's game will mark the first match up between the two sides.
