Kenosha, Wis. - The Parkside men's basketball team opened the fifth annual HARIBO Invitational on Friday night, playing host to the No. 12 ranked team in the country, Minnesota Duluth. The Rangers struggled with the Bulldogs inside presence, falling by a 90-66 final score.

Parkside battled with Minnesota Duluth for the entire first half. Early on, Nick Brown had it working. He came out of the gates firing with a pair of three pointers within the first few minutes of the contest. Josiah Palmer distributed the ball to an elite level, tallying three assists in the first half. Despite Parkside's efforts, they trailed by eight points heading into halftime.
Jack Rose was held scoreless in the first half, but ended with 10 points thanks to a hot second half. He connected on two three-pointers, including one for which he was fouled. Minnesota Duluth went to work in the second half, outscoring Parkside 52-36 in the final half. They ran away with the game winning by a score 90-66.
After Parkside's first loss of the season, they will be back in action tomorrow against Minnesota Crookston. The HARIBO Invitational will continue tomorrow, and Parkside will play at 3:00 pm. For coverage of the game visit ParksideRangers.com.
