Detroit, Mich - On their final road trip of the regular season, the Parkside Rangers took on the Wayne State Warriors on Friday night. After falling to the Warriors in three sets in their last meeting, the Rangers got their revenge swiping the contest in four sets.

Parkside came out of the gates firing in the opening set. Coming straight from the buses, Ava Irvin started the game with a powerful kill. Irvin finished with four kills in the opening set. Parkside excelled in defense for a significant part of the night, with Lindsay Krznarich playing a key role. She helped form a wall at the net and held Wayne State to a .031 attacking percentage. Karlee Lois ended the opening set with an ace, the team finished with seven total.
Wayne State narrowly escaped in the second set, having blown a nine-point lead. Parkside used that momentum and carried it for the final two sets. In the third set, the Rangers swung at a .200 attacking clip, and in the fourth set, they improved to .258. Natalie Harris led the game on the defensive end with 13 digs. Elizabeth Truckenbrod played a crucial role, securing a team-leading three aces and contributing 12 kills in the match. Truckenbrod notched four kills in the final set, and Irvin's seventh kill concluded the match.
Parkside got their revenge, downing Wayne State for the first time this season. With the win, Parkside officially locked up the third seed in the conference. This is the highest Parkside has ever finished since joining the GLIAC in 2018. The team improves to 18-10 overall and 12-5 in conference games.
