LEMONT, Ill. -- The Parkside men's golf team competed in round two of the Flyer Intercollegiate Invite on Tuesday afternoon, playing on the Ravines course at Cog Hill Country Club.

The Rangers were able to move up one spot as a team, finishing in 7
th place. Parkside shot a +11 (299) as a group on Tuesday.

"We had some good play, but we were just missing out on some of the lower scores," said Director of Golf
Carly Werwie-Swartz. "I thought we were smart and confident out there but had a couple bigger numbers that hurt us in the first round. I'm proud that we fought back in the second round and we'll use that to improve a few things before we head back this weekend to our next tournament."

Peter Blazevic,
Tanner Olson and
TJ Floberg who competed as an individual, all finished in a tie for 27
th, at +8 (152). Blazevic shot two over on his round Tuesday, while Olson and Floberg shot three over. Blazevic took advantage of the par 5s over the tournament, playing them in -5 which was the best in the field.

Andrew Conrad finished in a tie for 32
nd at +9 (153). Conrad shot a 76 (+4) on Tuesday.
Hayden Underhill shot +6 (78) on Tuesday, finishing in a tie for 35
th for the tournament at +10 (154).
Matt Marsollek finished the tournament in a tie for 39
th at +11 (155). Marsollek shot a two over 74 on Tuesday.

The Rangers will return to action on October 9
th at the Fall Midwest Regional, hosted at St. Alban's Country Club in St. Albans, MO.
