Hammond, Ind - The Parkside Rangers traveled to Purdue University Northwest to take on the Pride on Halloween night. The Rangers had already defeated the Pride earlier this season and didn't have trouble getting past them once again.

In the first set, the Rangers came out of the gates firing with an Ava Irvin kill. The two-time GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week was locked in from the first serve. She had help from Elizabeth Truckenbrod and Sam Fisch all night; both had timely kills in the opening set. Sierra Marshall ended the first set with an ace, and excellent service was the theme all night long for Parkside.
The Rangers carried a similar mindset into the second and third sets. In all, they held the Pride to an attacking percentage of just .114. The Rangers were prolific on the serve, converting eight aces with just two service errors. Gutche had the hot hand all night. On the other hand, the Pride didn't help themselves, committing nine service errors as a team.
Karlee Lois, the GLIAC Setter Player of the Week, notched her 20th double-double of the season. She assisted six different Parkside hitters. Truckenbrod finished with 14 digs, leading the game. Irvin's 13 kills were also a game-high. Parkside handled business in three sets, sweeping for the eighth time this season.
The Parkside Rangers advanced to 16-9 overall and 10-4 in GLIAC play. This marks the first time since 2015 that the Rangers have recorded at least 10 conference wins. They will continue conference play on Friday against Lake Superior State on the road. For coverage, visit ParksideRangers.com.
