Parkside Ends Home Stand with Sweep Over SVSU

Kenosha, Wis - Following a monster win for the Parkside Rangers, the team hosted Saginaw Valley State Cardinals on Saturday afternoon. The team rode the momentum from the night prior and defended their home ground on the final home game of the regular season.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

The Rangers came out of the gates firing. The usual suspects led the way as Karlee Lois played one of her best games, she sprayed the ball to her hitters all afternoon long. Coming off a 26 kill performance the night before, Irvin tallied six kills in the opening set. Sam Fisch helped out as well as the freshman had five kills in the set. The Rangers won 25-18 and struck first.

The second set was a lot similar for the Rangers as their defense continued to shine. The team held the Cardinals to an attacking percentage of just .083. Elizabeth Truckenbrod found her swing as she had five kills in the set on nine tries. Fisch continued her offensive dominance with six more kills in the second set. The Rangers held the Cardinals in check once again, winning the set 25-20.

Parkside put together one of their better sets of the season from an offensive perspective. Thanks to the help of six Irvin kills, four Fisch kills, and four Lindsay Krznarich kills, the Rangers hit .500 as a team in the third set. They got the job done, winning the set 25-18 and the team swept the Cardinals for the second time this season.

The Rangers finished the home season with a record of 10-3 at De Simone Arena and the team finds themselves alone in third place in the GLIAC at 9-4. Parkside has five games left on its schedule and will continue action against Purdue Northwest on Tuesday. For live coverage, visit ParksideRangers.com.
