Rangers Handle Business on Senior Day

KENOSHA, WI - On Saturday night, the Parkside Rangers hosted the Lake Superior State Lakers on Senior Day. The Rangers honored seniors Cayla Gutche, Maddy Dokken, and Maggie Rohde. Parkside got the job done in four sets and swept the weekend.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

In a back-and-forth opening set, Parkside was able to get the job done behind their lethal offensive attack. Parkside hit over (.400) in the set and their charge was led by Ava Irvin and Sam Fisch. The Rangers were without Fisch for a couple of games, and her presence was felt in her return. Elle Truckenbrod put the finishing touches on the set with an ace, she finished with three total. Parkside won the set 25-23.

After dropping the second set, Parkside bounced back with back-to-back set wins to close the match. The Rangers won the final two sets with ease, 25-17, and then 25-16. Karlee Lois once again led the charge on offense, gathering over 40 assists for the second night in a row.

The Rangers were able to slow the Lakers attack down heavily in the final two sets, leading to their eventual win. Truckenbrod finished with 12 digs and 10 kills, her second consecutive double-double. Cayla Gutche and Natalie Harris also helped out as the two of them each were in double digits in the digs column.

Parkside advanced to (13-9) on the season, and (7-4) in conference games. The Rangers stand alone in third place and will remain home next weekend. At De Simone Arena, the Rangers are now an impressive (8-3). They will host first place Ferris State University. For coverage, ParksideRangers.com/coverage.
