Reece Worachek earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) wrestler of the week honors for the first time this season.

Worachek started the weekend with an 11-1 major decision over No.10 ranked Danny Reynolds on Friday as the Rangers went on to win 25-14. The redshirt sophomore earned his 20th win on Saturday inside De Simone Arena where he defeated No.2 ranked Caden Steffen in the third extra time period. Worachek's win helped propel the Rangers into beating No.22 Southwest Minnesota State 34-9.

The Luxemburg, Wis. native is coming off of an appearance in the 2021-22 NCAA National Championship appearance and a season where he went 22-10 overall. Worachek earned Scholar All-American honors in 2021-22 as well.

Worachek and the Rangers will look forward to another tough contest on the road against the No.14 UMary Marauders on the UMary campus in Bismark, ND on January 27th.
