KENOSHA, Wis. - Katja Baeuerle has been named the GLIAC Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday. Baeuerle ran away with the win in her season opener at the Vic Godfrey Open on Sept. 2. The Bretten, Germany native cruised around the 4k loop of the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course in a time of 14:09.8, beating the rest of the field by nearly 21 seconds. Baeuerle ran 14 seconds faster than her performance at the 2021 Vic Godfrey Open, where she placed second.
The Rangers next meet will be on Saturday, Sept. 17 in Denver, Colo. as they compete at the MSU Denver Roadrunner Invitational.
