Northern Michigan 3, Parkside 0 (25-10, 25-12, 25-22)
The Parkside volleyball team hosted the Northern Michigan Wildcats on Friday night in De Simone Arena. The two teams came in to the match with overall records at 7-6 Parkside and 11-2 Northern Michigan. The Wildcats got off to a hot start with a strong front-line attack that lead to an early win.
MATCH RECAP
The Wildcats controlled the first set with a 17-5 run that was fueled by kills from Lizzy Stark and Jacqueline Smith. Taking the first set win 25-10. Going into the second set, Northern Michigan stayed on top with small runs throughout the set. They went on to win the second set 25-12, scoring the last four straight points. In set three, the Rangers fired back and held even with the Wildcats all the way to the end. The Wildcats were able to finish out set three with the win, outscoring Parkside 25-22.
