Rossnagel Has Career Night as Rangers Beat Pride

PARKSIDE 3, PURDUE NORTHWEST 1 (21-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-13)
The Parkside volleyball team hosted the Purdue Northwest Pride on Tuesday night in De Simone Arena. The two teams came into the match with overall records at 6-6 and 1-3 conference records. The Rangers got off to a slow start but rallied behind a career night for one of their seniors to earn their second conference win of the season.

MATCH RECAP
The Rangers offense struggled early, allowing the Pride to take control early and ride a four-point lead all the way to a win in the first set. The struggles continued into the second set, but the Rangers were able to string together a handful of rallies to run with the Pride and slip away with the win with a four-point rally which was fueled by a kill from Reese Rossnagel and an ace from Elizabeth Truckenbrod. In the third set, the Rangers found themselves down 8-6 early. A kill from Lexi Packard sparked a 19-7 run as the Rangers went on to win the set by 10 points. The Rangers went into Set 4 looking to close out the match. They jumped out to a 7-2 lead early, and Packard's three kills led the way to a 13-6 run as the Rangers closed out the final set 25-13.

"It's always good to get a conference win at home on a short week. We are proud of the adjustments that we made, especially after set 1. Reese was unstoppable and really took control of the match which helped give the rest of the team confidence to finish the match."
