ROMEOVILLE, Ill. – The Parkside baseball team fell to the Lewis Flyers 12-5 in a one game matchup on Tuesday in Romeoville, Illinois.

The Ranger bats were hot to start the early afternoon with a three run first inning thanks to a home run from senior
Dominic Esposito which scored junior
Ryan Brouch and redshirt sophomore
Caleb Badgley. The Flyers answered with a run of their own in the bottom of the third, making the score 3-1. A sacrifice fly from Badgley scored sophomore
Andrew Leair in the top of the fifth, extending the Ranger lead back to three. Another Flyer run scored in the bottom of the sixth, cutting the lead to 4-2. Senior
Noah Tyrrell hit an RBI single in the top of the seventh which scored junior
Jared Heinzen. Lewis's bats woke up in the home half of the seventh, scoring 3 runs to tie the game 5-5 through seven. The bottom of the eighth sealed the game for the Flyers as they scored seven runs and finished the game leading 12-5.
