Davenport 3, Parkside 0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-19)
The Parkside volleyball team hosted the Davenport Panthers in De Simone Arena on Saturday afternoon. The Rangers recognized seniors Lexi Packard, Alysha Brickl, Reese Rossnagel, Jazmine Neal, Jessie Bradshaw for their last home game of their collegiate careers. Parkside fell to the Davenport Panthers 3-0 in the last home game of the season.
MATCH RECAP
The two teams went back and forth all the way until the end of the first set where Davenport took the lead outscoring the Rangers 25-18.
Going into the second set, the momentum was almost a mirror image of Set 1 where Davenport went on several small 3-1 runs pulling ahead.
Davenport finished ahead of the Rangers 25-19 to take the second set win.
The Rangers were not ready to give up on senior night and gave everything they had in the 3rd and final set. Keeping the game close tied at 13-13 Davenport took charge scoring five in a row to go up 18-13 to stay ahead of the Rangers finishing the final set 25-19.
NOTEWORTHY STATS
Lexi Packard & Ava Irvin both came away with 10 kills each in 3 sets. While Alysha Brickl led the Rangers in assists grabbing 24.
