Upper Iowa 3, Parkside 1 (28-30, 25-20, 25-9, 25-17)
After the Parkside volleyball team earned a win in the first set on the road at Upper Iowa Tuesday night, the home Peacocks came back to win three straight. Parkside will enter GLIAC play at 3-5 overall while UIU improved to 6-2.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first set, the Rangers came back from being down 18-13 thanks to a 6-0 run, and eventually took the Peacocks over at 30-28 after a kill by senior
Jessie Bradshaw and a UIU attack error. In the second set, Upper Iowa came back from an early deficit to tie it up 1-1, then earned a lopsided 25-9 win in the third set to go up 2-1. The fourth set was much like the second, as the Peacocks erased an early deficit and pulled away in the end, but this time it clinched the match.
