Volleyball Suffers Setback at Upper Iowa Tuesday Night

Upper Iowa 3, Parkside 1 (28-30, 25-20, 25-9, 25-17)
After the Parkside volleyball team earned a win in the first set on the road at Upper Iowa Tuesday night, the home Peacocks came back to win three straight. Parkside will enter GLIAC play at 3-5 overall while UIU improved to 6-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
In the first set, the Rangers came back from being down 18-13 thanks to a 6-0 run, and eventually took the Peacocks over at 30-28 after a kill by senior Jessie Bradshaw and a UIU attack error. In the second set, Upper Iowa came back from an early deficit to tie it up 1-1, then earned a lopsided 25-9 win in the third set to go up 2-1. The fourth set was much like the second, as the Peacocks erased an early deficit and pulled away in the end, but this time it clinched the match.

STATWORTHY
Junior Reese Rossnagel led the Rangers with 15 kills and a .379 hitting percentage. Sophomore Jessica Pappas had 11 kills while senior Jazmine Neal had six. Redshirt-senior Ellie Adams had 21 assists and junior Kaylee Kuecker had 10 digs.
