The Parkside volleyball team opened up GLIAC play on Saturday afternoon against Purdue Northwest, and the Rangers came away with their second sweep of the season.

With the win, the Rangers improved to 4-6 overall and 3-2 at home in De Simone Gymnasium.

SET 1: The Rangers never trailed in the first set, opening up with 10-3 advantage and never letting the Pride back into the set.

SET 2: Parkside saw themselves down 4-3 early on, but ripped off a 7-1 run that included two kills by sophomore
Jessica Pappas. PNW made it close in the end at 24-20, but a senior
Jazmine Neal kill ended set two with a Rangers victory, and a 2-0 lead in the match.

SET 3: With the Rangers already leading 7-5, the team pulled away with an 11-0 run with junior
Kaylee Kuecker serving; she added two aces as well. Parkside cruised to the easy 25-15 victory in set three to earn the sweep.

Junior
Reese Rossnagel led the team with eight kills while Neal and junior
Lexi Packard had six. As a team, the Rangers had nine aces with Kuecker adding four of them. Junior
Alysha Brickl led the way with 16 assists while Kuecker had a game-high 15 digs. As a team, the Rangers hit .234, their second best effort of the season.Â
