After the Parkside softball team earned a walkoff win to open the day in a makeup game, Ferris State bounced back to win both games of the original doubleheader.

Parkside stays busy this weekend, battling Northwood on Saturday and Ashland on Sunday to close out the regular season.

Game 1 Recap
The first game of the day started as a 6-6 tie ball game in the top of the seventh inning. After a scoreless top of the seventh from pitcher
Allison Hausl, the Rangers rallied with two outs in the bottom of the seventh. Hausl drew a 2-out walk and moved up to third base on sophomore
Jadynn Powell's single. Senior
Alyssa Laxson came through with the walkoff single to score Hausl and give Parkside the 7-6 victory.

The Rangers finished with 11 hits, as senior
Maegan Brookins went 2-for-3, senior
Megan Aliverti went 2-for-3 with a double and Laxson finished 2-for-4. Hausl also had a home run earlier on April 7 at Case Softball Complex.

Game 2 Recap
The Parkside offense was limited to just one run in the top of the first inning, as
Taylor Delgado came in to score after leading off with a single, stealing second and coming in to score on a wild pitch. It stayed 1-0 until the bottom of the sixth where an error came back to haunt Parkside, as a 2-run triple gave Ferris State the 2-1 lead.

Hausl pitched game two as well, going all 6.0 innings allowing four hits and one earned run.

Game 3 Recap
The final game of the day featured more offense from both sides, as both teams pushed across two runs in the first inning. In the first, sophomore
Taylor Delgado and sophomore
Cassie Rutledge had back-to-back RBI doubles.

Ferris State added one run in the bottom of the second and two in the bottom of the third to take a 5-2 advantage. Parkside came back to tie it up in the top of the fifth inning. Delgado nearly cleared the bases with a 2-run double to make it 5-4. Later in the inning, Hausl drew a bases loaded walk to tie it up at 5-5. Parkside took the lead thanks to an RBI single by Delgado in the top of the sixth to make it 6-5.

Ferris State came back to hit a walkoff 2-run double to win it in the bottom of the seventh inning.

What's Next
The Rangers will stay on the road this weekend, battling Northwood on Saturday at 11/1 and Ashland on Sunday at 11/1.
